Mitsui Fudosan America, the U.S. subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Mitsui Fudosan, had a vision for a parking lot which it has owned for over 20 years in downtown Los Angeles.
The company wished to replace the lot with a 41-story tower. The high-rise will hold 438 residential units as well as approximately 10,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.A 519 stall garage with three below-grade levels and three above-grade levels will support the project. An amenity floor featuring a garden terrace, swimming pool, spa, cabanas, social pavilion, gym and culinary center will be located on the roof of the structure.
Watry Design is providing parking solutions for this project, including accommodating ridesharing services such as Uber and Lyft with an expanded drop off area incorporated into the ground level. Parking controls will create private access for residents.
