Located in downtown Seattle, 2+U will offer collaborative, flexible office space with convenient access to mass transit and the iconic Pike Place Market.
To provide sufficient parking on the constrained, urban site, a mechanical parking solution was needed to maximize parking capacity within a limited footprint. A ClearSpan™ valet-assisted semi-automated solution was selected to increase parking volume, including allowing cars to park over the drive aisle.
Watry Design assisted in integrating the mechanical system with the design of the building and developed a flexible parking program that would accommodate valet operations during weekdays and self-parking for evenings and weekends.
In addition to access to mass transit, the development will offer a bicycle program to encourage alternative modes of transportation. Secured bike parking for 326 bicycles is available on two levels, both accessible from the parking garage, along with a repair facility and EV charging stations for electric bikes.
