The newly redeveloped office campus at 555 Aviation in El Segundo will offer 260,000 square feet of single-story office space designed around creativity and collaboration across 14 acres. Large windows, high ceilings and open-air hallways will provide ample natural light and fresh air. A state-of-the-art fitness center and outdoor lounge areas will give employees places to relax.
As the renovations increased the amount of parking needed to support the campus, Watry Design was asked to study a number of options to find the right solution. Ultimately, the team recommended valet-operated mechanical lifts, or stackers, on an existing on-grade lot that would eliminate the need for structured parking.
Employees utilizing the lifts will hand their vehicle off to a valet, who will then park the car in the system. Upon the employee's return, valets will then move cars as needed to retrieve their vehicle.
