Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Parking Structure
  Salinas, California

Screening was a major issue in the detailing of this structure, to lessen the visual impact of automobiles and create a highly secure building. This was accomplished with integral colored precast panels. Materials and colors were chosen to harmonize with the adjacent hospital which the parking structure serves. The basement was designed to be utilized as both storage and meeting space for the hospital and incorporated a loading dock. The structural system was designed to accommodate a future helipad on the top level.

Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital received a Regional Award for "Beautification of the Salinas Valley" for this project.
