El Dorado Hotel Casino Parking Structure |
| |
Reno, Nevada |
| |
|
| |
The El Dorado Hotel-Casino parking structure is easily recognizable in downtown Reno, where it successfully competes with some of the city’s more flamboyant casinos. Specialty neon lighting, streetscape planting, and paving help to soften the height of this ten-level structure. |
| |
|
| |
Inside the structure, there are no internal walls to block views. There are also no hidden corners, greatly increasing guest safety. High lighting levels, a complete CCTV system, and an emergency alert system also serve to protect hotel guests. |
| |
|
| |
The exterior’s primary design elements are cast-in-place concrete beams that wrap each level, serving as both car barrier rails and the seismic-load carrying system. A ramp connects patrons directly to the registration level of the hotel via a pedestrian bridge. |
